MANDRAKE series: more than 20 pieces are all made of recycled women’s clothes. While investigating the mythological roles shared by both Chinese and Western cultures, I use mandrake grass, a mysterious plant with a human form, as the connection point between humans and nature. Humans make clothes by processing natural materials such as plants. When clothes are worn on people as underwear, part of the memory of nature also attaches to people. As a result, Mandrake dolls made from clothing of different ages, have become monsters with their own personality. In my work, recycled clothes as the main material are not only environmentally friendly, but also support the concept of the work.
